Welcome To Meadowgreen Appalachian Music Park, Inc.
Meadowgreen Appalachian Music Park Club, Inc. is a club dedicated to the preservation of bluegrass music. We work together to provide a venue for bluegrass musicians to perform on Saturdays from October through April each year. Our venue is small, with about 294 seats including both theater type seats and chairs on the floor for guests who can't climb stairs.
We offer online and in person ticket sales with reserved seating to allow our guests to pick out a seat in advance. While most shows will have tickets available at the door, it is best to check online before coming to make sure shows have not sold out. Ticket sales stop at 4:00 p.m. online on the date of the show to allow us to set up the venue. We look forward to seeing everyone each week and are like a big family of bluegrass people. Our phone number is 606-945-5999 if you have any questions about any of our shows or if you would like assistance in purchasing tickets.
2020-2021 Season
To Our Meadowgreen Appalachian Music Park Family-
We have been working to create a schedule for this season so we can continue the tradition of playing music in Clay City, Kentucky. There are many uncertainties about the upcoming season, but we want our guests to know that we will do everything we can to create a safe environment. We will ask our guests to sit in family units and space themselves apart at least 6 feet throughout the venue.
Our floor seating will be very limited this year. We must keep the first row at minimum 10 feet from the band and we will space family units apart on the floor. We will ask all guests who are able to climb the steps to sit in the theater seats.
Shows will start start at 6:00 p.m. but we will only have one band each night. We do not have enough room behind the stage to keep two bands safely separated to warm up.
We will be working to set up online seating, but we may have to do our online ticket system differently this year. When we get shows going again we will ask guests to call in and reserve their seats with the help of one of our staff so we can appropriately distance our family units.
When we move indoors, we will ask our guests to please wear a mask when you enter the building and as you move throughout the building. The health department guidance is for guests to wear their masks when in the building.
In an effort to keep guests as safe as possible we ask that guests who are feeling bad with a fever, cough that is not able to be controlled, a new rash, or other symptoms of illness please choose another evening of entertainment when you are feeling better. When we move indoors, we will take the temperature of our guests to ensure that nobody has a temperature over 100.4.
We will have our concession stand with food prepared in our kitchen.
We have added camping sites to our park this year so if you'd like to come down for a show and spend the night on the Meadowgreen property give us a call and we will set you up with camping. There are many fun things to do in the Red River Gorge area in the fall so plan to stay a night or two and enjoy the area.
It is always possible that a band may have to cancel at the last minute due to the virus or other concern, so we will keep everyone updated on our webpage and Facebook page.
We hope that we can show our bands some love and support as many of them have been out of work for a long time. We also hope that we can create a safe environment so our guests can enjoy a night of music.
Sincerely,
The Staff of Meadowgreen Appalachian Music Park, Inc.
